Grunge
I love 90s grunge. I like the way Kurt Cobain dressed, I like how Alexander Wang brought it to the catalk in the 90s and made it the most iconic college look of the decade, but most of all I love how so many of us wear old school grunge in 2011.
If your layering, checkering, ripping, leatheringto an extent or deniming then you are sporting some 90s grunge. (Im aware some of those arent words) that on the whole, unless done to the absolute upmost of your wardrobes ability this look will be referred to as 'indie'.
Quite a statement, but I cant help but look at these girls and boys dressed in their checkered shirts, oversized tees/shirts, denim and uncombed hair etc and think hmmmmmm are you really that fashion knowledgable and experimental that youve revisited 90s grunge fashion and put that together yourself ? ...then I see how poorly its been done, I can just tell that their heart isnt it and its not a reflection of their life style much how it was for Kurt Cobain and that it is infact just a trend that they now follow that was orignally inspired by 90s grunge and that just been toned down.
No insults intended, I am guilty of this also. Id feel a cheat if I walked round like the 90s Courtney Love as Im not snorting my weight in cocaine daily and not dating a super hot music icon. I dress like this because - im lazy, its comfy, it suits me, its fashionable

Worst and Best @ CFDA Fashion Awards
When Look magazine released these photos I didnt know whether to laugh or cry. Some bizarre outfits but of course some truly beautiful outfits. Now Im no expert but I have some very strong opinions on some of these dresses. Frankly many of them should be burnt. On that note; here's my worst and best dressed.
Worst
Rachel Roy (left) I dont really get this outfit, the colour is okay but the fabric and sheen makes it instantly look cheap. The bag and bangles go excellently together but they look like they are in the hands of the wrong woman!, The belt, buttons and ruffle are all standard details youd find on a highstreet piece, I dont know why she'd go for something so ghastly, she also does herself no favours standing Joy Bryant.
I feel like Im breaking the law putting Gaga in my worst dressed list, but it has to be done. We all know the Jessie J song where the lyrics are 'shoes so high you cant even have a good time' urmm..
I've got to admit the wig, hair and make up is lovely but the outfit needs explaining to me. I do understand that Gaga is renowned for a daring and risky outfits and I also know this is the fashion awards therefore Gaga must have been in her element here and took it as a great opportunity to go wild and excel her eccentricity.
But please! her nipples are out, her bum is out, she looks like a gothic princess when shes no more than a pop princess. hmm I just think this is too bizarre.
Betsy Johnson. My my my. Poorly fitting around her entire upper body, huge fish tailesque bouffant bottom and studded shoes. Enough said.
Best
Jessica Alba. Anyone who colour blocks well gets a thumbs up from me, but to do it so glamorously while pregnant is just perfect. I love the shapes of everything here, it hangs in all the right places and most of all she looks quite comfortable!Miranda Kerr looks stunning in this black maxi with thigh split. It is definately one of the sexiest outfits of the night but she certainly pulls is off. I love how almost casual she looks, effortlessly glam
Chanel Iman looks breathe taking in this teal dress. The fitting is beautiful and compliments her slim and slender body. Cut out shoulders can often look nothing more than a 90's mistake, but here it looks nothing less then pure elegance, the length of the dress is jsut oerfect for her height and to show off the gorgeous heels. This is most probably one of the most elegant outfits of Look magazines photo collection.

Love Levi's
Finally I have a pair of vintage Levi cutoffs! I fell in love with the worn and tired look of vintage homecut Levi shorts sometime last summer and Im now a proud owner of some 'oversized' Levi's.yey.
My next quest with Levi's is stud them up - Ive been inspired by the images below.

BLaZzZzerZzzz
I finish almost every outfit off with blazer. I LOVE them, you could say I have a blazer fetish (?)
Whether it SS or AW I believe every outfit can be made sexy with a blazer. I love how they can instantly alter an out; sophisticated edge, the boyish look, military feel, or simply their ability to nip in a womanly waist or give a lengthen torso effect.
Spring Blazer
Blazer @ Topshop
A plain clean cut blazer can compliment almost any look.
I love this one for the tennis ball shoulders and 3/4 sleeves
Autumn blazer
(Sorry for the finger pose!)
Blazer @ vintage shop
This initially was my winter Autumn blazer but I embraced it through summer too.
Summer blazer
Blazer @ H&M
Tangerine clothing is a summer must have whether it be heels, tops, trousers ANYTHING. Its gorgeous and brightens up any outfit
Boyfriend blazer

My winter blazer, this one is my most structured blazer, it has a bold shape and strong colour to it.

cubVINTAGE//Chanel
So I was vintage shopping the other day and came across a Chanel scarf - I LOVE it, although Im not convinced its real, if theres any experts out there do let me know.
It was a scandalous £3! absolute steal, even if it isnt real!
In other news..
Its coming to the end of my tenancy at the place Im living at the minute, so in an attempt to make the packing less of a stress in a few weeks time I started to clear out my room. I ended up with 3 bin bags and a pile of unwanted clothes and since Im suspended from eBay (dont ask) I had no idea what to do with them! I gave a good lot to charity but some of it is just too good to give away, I sound awful but you know, good clothes dont always come cheap!
So with this in mind I started an online shop! Its only been going for 2 days, Ive had a little bit of positive feedback and Im loving it! Basically Ive used this post to advertise my own shop, as well as stating Im not giving anymore clothes to charity.
I sound like a money grabbing bitch!

much appreciated x
